⏱️ Total: 60–90 min🧸 Best every 2–4 weeks

Supplies

  • Clear bins or tubs with lids
  • Labels or masking tape + marker
  • Laundry basket for gathering scattered toys
  • Zip bags for puzzles, sets, or small parts
  • Shelf/cabinet space to store off-cycle bins

Quick Rules

Rotate toys every 2–4 weeks. Keep 1–2 open-ended toys out year-round. Donate toys not touched in 6+ months.

1) Gather & Sort (15–20 min)

2) Purge & Donate (15–20 min)

3) Bin Setup (10–15 min)

4) Active vs. Storage (10–15 min)

5) Rotation Day (15–20 min)

6) Involve Kids (optional)

7) Storage Area Tidy (10 min)

8) Track Favorites (ongoing)

9) Seasonal Adjustments

10) Reset & Repeat

Tip: Treat rotation like a fun ritual β€” kids love β€œnew toy day” even when it’s just old favorites returning.
